SEM of Distributed Bragg Reflectors
laser for integrated terahertz generation
One challenge in photonic integrated circuits is high performance tunable frequency selective reflectors for monolithic integration of lasers. We have developed a deep etched surface DBR grating that is useful for narrow linewidth DBR lasers and optical heterodyning of two lasers for THz generation.
